Today in maths we worked in our Ocean groups and went on a 3D shape hunt in our school grounds. We used I pads to record our findings. We found lots of cuboids. We founds cones, spheres, cylinders and we looked everywhere for a cube. Luckily just before we went back into class somebody found one! Well done Rna!
This week we will be continuing to learn about shapes and moving on from 2D shapes to 3D shapes. Maybe you could have a look and see what different 3D shapes you can see at home or on your way to school.
Today we have been learning all about life under the sea. We have learnt that the sea can be very deep, dark and cold an that fish come to the surface for the warmer water. We used the I pads to do our own research about the Basking Shark… listen to some of our facts.
Today we learnt to count in 5s. We loved listening to this counting in 5s song.
On Tuesday it was the start of lent for Christians. We learnt about the tradition of shrove Tuesday and we made yummy pancakes. We then chose a topping, sugar and lemon, chocolate or syrup. They were very tasty.
This week we are going to continue counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. This is our favourite counting in 10s song in class and we often like to have a little dance as we sing it.
What a fabulous day we had for world book day! It was lovely to see so many of you dressed up as a character from a book. We started off the day by inviting parents into our classroom to share a story and it was a great success. It was lovely to speak to so many of the parents in such a relaxed atmosphere, whilst sharing a story with on another.
This was followed by a lovely story in Arabic read by one of the parents.
